Legal information
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how they may be used on the DNA – Dance N'Arts School website, and the choices available to you.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how personal data is processed.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit them. Depending on their purpose, they are used to make the website work, to remember preferences, or to gather statistical information about how it is used.
There are also similar technologies — such as the browser's local storage — that can perform equivalent functions and to which the same principles apply.
2. Cookies used on this website
DNA uses statistics cookies, via Google Analytics 4, to understand in aggregate how the website is used and to improve it. These cookies are only set if you give your consent on the banner shown on your first visit.
- _ga — distinguishes users in a pseudonymised way · lasts up to 2 years · Google;
- _ga_<ID> — maintains the Google Analytics session state · lasts up to 2 years · Google.
Until consent is given — or if it is declined — Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode, without setting cookies or identifying you. No advertising or social media cookies are used.
The fonts are hosted on our own server and the enrolment form is processed on the server, both without using cookies or sessions.
3. Third-party content and services
The Google Analytics service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. If you accept the analytics cookies, some data — such as your IP address (truncated) and information about your browsing — is processed by Google as a processor, which may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area under the applicable legal safeguards. See Google's Privacy Policy.
The Contact page includes an interactive map rendered from data hosted on DNA's own server (derived from OpenStreetMap data), so it sets no cookies. No other third-party embedded content — such as videos or social media buttons — is used.
4. Categories of cookies
The cookies used (or that may be used) fall into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — essential to the operation of the website; these do not require consent;
- Preferences — remember your choices, such as language;
- Statistics — help us understand, in aggregate, how the website is used (this is the case for Google Analytics, above);
- Marketing — used for advertising or promotional purposes (not used on this website).
Any cookies that are not strictly necessary are only used with your prior consent.
5. Managing your consent and cookies
You can change your choice at any time via. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set and any existing ones are deleted.
In addition, most browsers let you control, block or delete cookies through their settings.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
DNA may update this Cookie Policy whenever necessary, in particular if features that use cookies or similar technologies are introduced. The most recent version will always be available on the website.
